Strawberry & Cherry Festival (Bacchus Marsh) Heritage Train - Saturday 17th November, 2018
Seymour Railway Heritage Centre invites you on a special diesel haul heritage train tour to Bacchus Marsh for their annual Strawberry & Cherry Festival. Join the train at Seymour or Melbourne Southern Cross.
The Strawberries and Cherries Weekend celebrates the beginning of the Strawberry and Cherry season in Bacchus Marsh.
This is a chance for you to participate and enjoy in the many experiences in Bacchus Marsh featuring – fruit picking*, locally grown produce, Strawberry and Cherry themed menus, horse and carriage rides, a cherry pip spitting competition, heritage arts and crafts and much more.
The festival also has over 200 market stalls featuring, gifts, novelties, food and much more in the Main Street of our central shopping area which is closed off to road traffic.
There will be plenty of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
Your train will be hauled by Blue and Gold Heritage Locomotives B74 & X31^ with 100 year old wooden compartment carriages and 80 year old Steel Compartment Carriages.
Your train will also include the magnificent Yarra Carriage which was built in 1906 and 1937 original Spirit of Progress Seating, Dining and round ended Parlour Carriages.
