Maldon Dombarton Study Out

Didn't there used to be a curfew system for trucks around the Illawarra?....
"Athol"

AFAIK there still is. I don't know the times, but for example on weekends you'll find nary a rig on Mt. Ousley.
"wurx"

So once M2D opens, the curfews can be "extended due to reduced demand for road transport now that rail options have improved."

I gather that there is no hold on any 'right-of-way' for this project. More land has been sold off into part of the new estate just next to the M5 right where the track was suppose to go

Or the powers that be, the numerous working parties, study groups, think thanks and govt shills think there is a hold or thinks the other person knows more about it and the end result is there is nothing ?

Getting double-stackers across the 1500v wired tracks need not be a problem. What about a lifting span in the OHW, to be raised as part of the interlocking of the crossing?

Maybe just part of ongoing effort to make the interstate double stack compatible?

So it should be, just like all major interstate upgrades should.

I just hope they built the tunnels and bridges for double tracks, even if they don't lay the rails.
  Draffa Chief Commissioner

The construction cost is estimated to be between $624 and $667 million in
December 2010 dollars, assuming the larger of the alternative tunnel cross
section sizes and allowing for measures to mitigate environmental impacts.
Removing the profit element of estimated construction costs yields the
resource cost of the line, which is the relevant economic cost – estimates of the
resource costs are between $557 million to $596 million in December 2010
dollars.
Do they make Pandrol Clips out of gold these days?
