    WOW !  Good one Adam & Jade !

    But I wish to be un-QLD like ( after all I were born in Newcastle NSW, and live in VIC) and ask can I replace the bogies with broad gauged ones if I desire ? The 12mm boogies will find a good home within my club so they would not be wasted.

    G'day David,
    The wagons will be released soon in a standard gauge version as well. If you do not wish to wait though, the wagons have been designed to accept the following bogies...
    ARKits, Auscision, Bachmann, Walthers, Life Like, Model Power, Kadee and the list goes on. Essentially we have made ALL fittings on these models as standard as possible. The  bogies are fitted to the wagon bolsters with a pin fitted inside a sleeve, you just pop the pin out and put whatever bogie you want under them.

    Well except that there have been RTR QLD models available for some time, so not really the first.  PGC Scalemodels have had made-to-order RTR rollingstock for a lot of their products (including a QLX) for some time and their steam locos are only available as RTR, and Black Diamond Models have produced their diesels as RTR for years!

    Yes, (name censored by request), and welcome to Railpage by the way, you are right that Andrew should have been slightly clearer in what he said. In fact, Wuiske Models has also had various RTR items available in the past in limited quantities. I believe what Andrew meant was that these are the first to be released Mass Produced, Ready to Run models for the Queensland Market.

    I'll rephrase my comment,

    These are the first RTR mass produced QR model.

    While I do appriciate and own some Black Diamond stuff it is RTR but essentionally kits built to order.

    By the way, meant to say before, very clever re the decal set for the wagon numbers too. Surprise the "broad gauge" suppliers don't do that more often.

    Fantastic, impressive etc. cannot spell all those other applicable adjectives that describe this event

    A Qld company gave the first injection molded kit to the Aussie market which incidentally a Louvred van as well and now a Qld co gives us RTR Qld model as well

    Who says there was no Santa Clause?

    G'day All,
    Jade, Haskell Co and I would like to thank you all for your very kind words.
    We are all very proud of the results from the work we have put into our QLX wagons. We are similarly proud of our next few models that will be released at the Ipswich Show on the 27th & 28th.

    It is only as a result of the support we have recieved over the years that items such as these can be made possible and we all appreciate it more than can be expressed.

    With any luck, the trend will continue and between Wuiske Models, Haskell Co, Southern Rail, BDM and PGC this will be the start of a golden age for QR Modelling.

    Innitial sales would appear to suggest that over the last ten years, we had only just scratched the surfae of those wishing to model QR.

    Over the last few days, our website has been getting hammered with visitors. We are currently averaging more than 1100 individual visitors per day! This is over twice the number of visitors to our site usually. On a more entertaining note, We have recieved over 30 emails from people trying to guess what the next models to be released in a fortnight are. In response to these, I will simply say that it is NOT a QLX Laughing

    Having said that, some of the guesses have been rather interesting and mildly entertaining, please feel free to post your guesses here though as it is fasinating to hear some of the reasons behind peoples thoughts.

    Once again, we would all like to thank you for your continued support and to say that 2013 is shaping up to be an AMAZING year!

    Well I'm going to lock in the tautliners for the next release, that's my guess. 

    With the forthcoming orders for the QLX, plus SR/PGC/BDM and no doubt some more after the Ipswich show, I can see I am really going to get in trouble with the OIC Homefront! Rolling Eyes

    Nevermind, as I've said before, good times ahead for the QR Modeller. Hopefully all suppliers get supported, which result in more models for us.
