Excellent.  Would be a move to turn the locomotive around the triangle. (w track)

"6020 Class" is what they're listed as in the latest RailCorp TOC waiver for the C44aci locomotives.

6021 is looking mighty fine and clean today.  Any idea when it will be leaving Melbourne?

Back in the unexciting category, XRN029 was sitting out the front of UGL yesterday in undercoat. Only one more of those to go in the current order if I remember correctly. Then a heap more 6020s?

So are we to assume QR prefers C44ACis to GT46CACEs ? Will be interesting to see what happens to the LDPs when the lease runs out . Maybe PN Northern coal will lease them .
  M636C Minister for Railways

6022 was at Dry Creek on Tuesday afternoon at the EDI runnning sheds, not the UGL service area (where, in the distance I saw a GWU). 6022 has a light grey "mask" around the cab front windows not seen on 5020 class or ACB class units in otherwise the same livery.

For cost and fuel efficiency I'd say yes, from the crews the LDP's would pull the guts out of a C44ACi!!

Pics are starting to appear of new 6024 in Melbourne on Faceplant. Nice shiny looking loco too.

When was 6024 outshopped from Broadmeadow and is 6023 out yet?

And another question, what is the progress on the XRN's 21-30? Which are delivered/completed/in service/under construction?

I know XRN022 is out and about, it has been causing no end of trouble for other ECP trains.

Last Friday (26-10-12) at UGL Broady there was-
6024 in full paint, 6025 painted with no decals, 6028 and another 6020 unpainted.
XRN029 was painted and decaled and outside.
Also of interest was old XRN005 out in the yard in a test enclosure, and XRN018 and 5029 inside the shed.
I've seen XRN025 out and at work a few days ago.

AURIZON is the new name of QRN as voted in recent company changes and whatnot.

Are XRN's 027, 026, 025, etc in service yet and when are the last 3 due into service?

No surprise there, Mr Gibbs seems pretty impressed with them.
