No probs mate. Like I said in a PM, it's probable that it was a JS or CSS Cacheing issue.

Since I've not touched the TRN code - ever - I believe you're correct. Looking at the TRN code the notifications are based on posts, and if a post is split into a different thread then that's where the notification comes from. It would also explain why you suddenly become unsubscribed from TRNs if posts are deleted.

It's an old system and it's on my to-do list.

Nice to know it will be attended to after all these eons Razz

Thanks in advance, Michael 8)

Any page in particular? What's the scenario?

The only reason that would happen is if the previous page is redirecting you to the current page. Browser controls are not something we can control.

Every page, it's just RP in general... I mean, I'll try and go back now, after hitting "Reply" next to your post, and I won't be able to.

I miss automatic quote stacking. My stance is that it's easier to remove quote stacking you don't want, rather than have to manually insert it, so why's it gone?

Because the RTE breaks nested quotes, and before anyone complains no, I'm not changing the RTE. After exhaustive testing it's the one best suited to our needs, and no, I'm not going to create one myself.

Try Incognito mode in Chrome and see if it's any different.

I was banned recently, and as a result whenever I attempt to login using Chrome, I am still "banned". I've tried clearing the cache and cookies a few times. Same result with Internet explorer and other "new" login. Very disappointing situation.

This proves why the post Graham replied to also needs to be quoted automatically. My point is we need to have the previous posts [plural] in the message as well in many cases.

Works fine in Incognito mode... Cache issue? Strange, since I'm on a MacBook...

Tried that too. No success. I also tried logging into Railpage using another computer and the banned page appears too.

Okay, I accept that. Is there any way for us to cut straight to editing the source BBCode that preserves nested quotes?
  Speed Minister for Railways

Under your user profile, you can disable the rich-text editor and use the straight text one instead.

I noticed also that there's a sightings section. When I post in the Hitachi sightings thread, it suggested that I post there but did away with my text. After getting the post into the thread, I tried the sightings feature but gave up after entering all of the M-car numbers as locomotives.
