Making its second run this week on WB3 NR70 led NR?? NR81 through Coffs Harbour with 4WB3. 4WB3 had crossed the NT32 which was running about 90 minutes down at the nearby Boambee beach loop.

Sorry for bringing up a old thread Embarassed , but NR8/AN9 was leading a container train (with car carriers) through Midland at around 3:45pm yesterday.

Cheers!

I recently sighted an NR heading north light engine past Jandakot. Excuse my ignorance, but what is it that NR's do down that way or could it just have been a maintenance run?

Thanks.

IIRC it was something to do with track maintenance up Midland way, hence the Locos need to go via Jandakot/Bibra Lake in order to turn around

Ahhh... thanks. I had only just told my son (who is the proud owner of a new PN stars NR model) not to expect to see any down that way when one trundled past. Hence I received a, 'do you know what you are talking about?' look.

[NR near Jandakot]?

NR15 (vanilla) was 2nd loco behind NR75 on todays 1AD8
NR15 looks like it could do with a repaint!

-Bump-

As of today, the only NR still in the old 'vanilla' (ex NRC) livery is 104. So once that's repainted, it'll leave only the GSR-liveried NR's (18, 25, 27-28, 74-75, 84-85 & 109) without the PN stars livery, although I think 48 is still without the stars & PN logo on the sides after that fire last year. I think 86 is currently being repainted, with 103 having been done just recently.
