Sadly the grain train I was hoping to film didn't show up at Bridgewater today, my friend told me it was somehow delayed by 3 hours, but not due to failures.There was a north grain today, departed north yard just before 10:30, motive was double GM's.
So once again I wasted almost a whole day trying to spot a grain train. I'll try again tomorrow at Bridgewater, fingers crossed.
2DA2 passed me at 9:44am with CLP17-GWU002 at the helm. The derailment on Saturday at the Islington terminal would've meant a very short turnaround in Darwin, hence why the GWU wasn't leading as usual.7AD1 returns as 3DA2. 6AD1 as 2DA2. Although 5AD1 returns as 4DA2.

GL108 apparently broke down last Monday, it was in the Islington Workshops on Friday. It's likely it will be back on the BALCO tomorrow though.Thanks Greasyrhys. I assumed that this would be the case but was hoping that we would get to see more DL action back at home and leading.
Saw a grain train at Blackwood this morning, went through at approx 1020 hrs with 2216, 2212, 2210 and GWU002 at the helm. Ventured up to Mt Lofty to catch it again, it went through at approx 1055 hrs. The 22's sounded fantastic, especially 2212, working up the last section to the peak, plenty of exhaust fumes and noise! Pity it didn't have a GM and a 700 in place of a 22.The train was 1311 Karoonda grain. The train only had 2212 and the GWU working but the GWU's can normally handle a 40w empty train plus three hauled engines on their own.
