May be a stupid question with an answer already but who is going to hire said locomotive? Thanks.

I got totally gloomed out for my shot of the down train with CF4412 leading - its so dark and hard to make out the livery that its not worth watching. It looked like the cloud layer was much thinner up around Gosford with perhaps even some sunny patches so hopefully some good shots were obtained up that way. Things had brightened up a bit by the time the train arrived back at Hawkesbury River. Some of the video can be seen at:

It was nothing short of inspirational to see how many enthusiasts were out in force today getting shots - everyone I saw got along well, there was no competition or jostling for position. The CFCL Australia people were very welcoming and friendly despite all of us underfoot at Central and Gosford, and they even posed for photos! An exceptional example of how a company can be friendly towards enthusiasts provided they do the right thing.

Is that colour Pink or Orange?

I think all photos of this loco should come with a warning: Do not adjust colour controls on your screen.

"salmon". It's a greyish pink - one needs to see it "in person" to get the full effect, it's actually a very striking livery.

Everyone who either videoed or had taken fotos of the train thanks for sharing, it seems it was well documented by the rail community

Tribute or no, those colours are awful and the livery looks gross. Might work on a race horse but nowhere else!

Furthermore, for those interested in seeing this locomotive for the first time, or seeing it for a second (third?) time, it will be transferred south on Monday as part of the NSWRTM Heritage Express consist.

As I understand it, the consist should be leaving Eveleigh as CF4412/CF4411/S300/4001/4306/4520/cars in some order. One or more of the RTM diesels might hang around to go with 3642 later on, I'm not entirely sure. All I know is that the CF's are supposed to lead the transfer south!

Should be out of gate road, Eveleigh at 1400.

Thanks Raichase for the heads up. Hopefully people will appreciate this information rather then debate "who is my source".

I just hope that the plan doesn't change for whatever reason, there will be a lynching held instead of a debate Wink.

I can understand the trepidation over "sauces", so many people make stuff up or talk out of their backside in order to get some kind of "forum cred". When something publicly shared sounds too good to be true, it usually is! That said, it's the ones that just cherry pick information off the website and then badmouth the same website that really get under my skin... At least people participating in a debate (excluding the trolls) are contributing to the website!

A different colour scheme that will undoubtedly attract much attention, definately have to add a like vote on this one despite it obviously going to be a difficult one to keep pristine.
