May be a bit pedantic, I know, but I'm still amazed that none of the trams are capable of displaying their actual destinations during these periods of disruption.
The Glenelg to Rundle Mall runs I saw on Friday were showing "West Terrace via City" on the Flexitys and either "West Terrace" or "Adelaide Metro - Welcome Aboard" on the Citadis.
When I caught a tram to the city a week or two ago, the afternoon Victoria Square was closed for a good few hours by a bomb scare, all the trams which turned back at South Terrace were still showing "Entertainment Centre" - even though there was no provision for onward shuttle buses to the EC at that time.
Surely the electronic displays can accomodate all the destinations where there are crossovers and trams could be turned back during disruption: Victoria Square, Rundle Mall, Adelaide Rail Station, Brighton Road etc. (but no-longer City West). And maybe even Beckman Street and Morphett Road.
If this is all too hard maybe just one generic "CITY", like the Melbourne W-class had. Why pretend the tram is going to West Terrace when it is going nowhere near, and the connecting shuttle buses actually go all the way through to the Entertainment Centre?
