Best places to go would be Gheringhap Loop or Bunbury St. If you want to look at passenger trains then Southern Cross is the best place.

Ok, is there any real good spots for photography around Seymour?? Or around somewhere where there is a lot of movements

I believe the three places I specified have lots of movements.

Heathcote Junction is a bit of a hack spot, being the top of the grade in either direction. Just down the road at Wandong there is a nice overbridge that you can get decent shots from. Closer to Seymour, Schoolhouse Lane in Dysart, Sharps & Taylors Rd in Tallarook is also alright.

So you were the bloke I spoke to briefly? Nice to meet you!

Further to this, 9310 was detached at Dimboola; shunted into a siding, and shut down. I have no idea why this occured. NR66 + NR52 continued alone with the steel train.

Well you could stay in the city, which is where all train lines meet.
  2502 Station Staff

Sure, would that be the best spot, or would you see more towards the branches. By mor I mean trains during the day time, and any time tables or tracker?????

You'd get more freighters around the Dynon/Tottenham area, and more passenger services at Southern Cross.

There are timetables, but as far as I know the latest freight one hasn't been released.

No, it's not the MA3 Patricks, but 3MC2 PN Portlink to Griffith with NR90-XRB562-NR98 as they approach Belair Rd bridge, Glenroy Tue 18/6/2013.

Was just wondering if i take any photos in future can i use my photo bucket  sight as a link or does it have to be on Flickr?
  2502 Station Staff

yeah, the engine combinations on this train have changed a lot since tract alterations around Griffith

JimYarin
No it is not, which would be why Michelle12 made the reference to it not being MA3 which is the only train to normally have the NR-XRB-NR combination and be only using 60' flats.

Of the 3 XRB's one is normally used on the Leigh Creek Coal train in SA, on on AM3/MA3, the third is usually used on MP/PM services.

Michelle, thanks for the summary. I suspect the issue was flickr again as I have checked the server logs and images have been sent during this time.

You can use any photo hosting site you wish to use. I run my own site myself (link in my signature), but you can always host at PhotoBucket and post a link.
