As I understand it, most of the former Southern Aurora NAM and LANs are in the process of going to a new home/s, as is the DAM. The new owners are generally reluctant to say anything publicly until such time as the stock has been successfully moved from the site. Similarly, the DEB cars have been spoken for. Two CPH rail motors have been returned to Cowra. Electric locomotive 4627 and inter-urban power car CF5001 have been purchased by members of SETS. The ex-NSW cars purchased by QR have since been scrapped as they were without bogies. A number of wooden cars, including the wiring cars, have been scrapped. Many 12-wheelers have been marked as if they have been sold and awaiting transfer.
"The Railway News" seems to be the only magazine really attempting to cover movements of items from Rothbury. The last two issues have certainly had considerable detail, extending well beyond the acquisition of the SMR-10 class by Dorrigo.
