One thing that would be nice, at least if its possible in regards to the news section, that those companies supplying the information for the supplied news is if they could supply a contact address when they provide the information regarding new products. No problem with the more established companies & who have readily available web or contact details, not so with the lesser lights.
Over time there has been some new producers with prospective models but there is nothing about them nor contact details available, in the latest edition there is reference to items available from ""Times Gone By"" but no information regarding them.
We have had this request before and the answer is the same. We have to protect our advertising base, so we never mention contact details or price in the News section. The contact details should be in the advertisement that the producer has in the magazine. What? They don't have an ad? Perhaps the question should be: "Why is the magazine giving exposure to suppliers who don't support the magazine..."
I'm more than happy to mention *anyone* who produces something that may be of interest to our readers, after all, I do regard the mag as a 'journal of record'. However, the producer really does need to 'play the game' and support us if they are going to get the full benefit of exposure in the mag. That is why we ask that when replying to advertisers (or even someone mentioned in the News section) that you mention that you saw it in the magazine. After all, the bottom line is: no advertisers, no magazine.
