Tangara seating trial

Whilst the reduction in seat numbers may help passenger movement, could I sugest the possibility of a rule that says passengers board a train through the rear-most door of each carriage, and exit through the front door. This should produce a one-way flow through the carriage, reduce conflicting movements, and streamline movements on platforms (waiting pax will not be  obstructing alighting pax and vice-versa). Those who flout this rule will soon get the message.

Sure, just like they take notice of the one way stairs at the front of Central or stand back and wait for people to alight before trying to push their way on. Sydney passengers just do what suits them best.

Heck, they removed the one-way stairs at Central because nobody followed the directions anymore!

It's nice to have replies from 2 long-time, respected members of RP.
The basic flaw in my one-way px idea is that in peak hours, the on/off ratio is heavily skewed in one direction, thus leaving either the on or off doors underutilised, and thus increasing dwell time.

In other words, it just wouldn't work!!!

There was another flaw.  Limited mobility passengers enter through the rear door.  How do they get to the forward door to exit?

On a similar topic - I've noticed at least one Tangara getting around with internal advertising (thumbs up) over the windows inside (thumbs down). Anyone else?

Further to this, having seen the sets in question, it's actually the same sets as the seating trial, T77/78

There are also some ex-G Sets with internal advertising.
