They look great Mick.
If you want to put up some more pics I can let you know of any issues/incorrect/abnormalities if you'd like.

I can aslo snap some pics of the wagons when I get back to work on Saturday if you're like...?

I'll have to D/L them when you're finished as I've been working on a 7-Mile yard layout Wink
Will they be loadable/unloadable?

If i could send you a Beta when they are in game Jason for you to check out mate then yeah that would be a real bonus, I only have a few pic's and sum sketchy details at best on these to go off so another set of eye's on them before release would be a blessing. They will be loadable for sure but as they are unloaded thru a dumper i don't think this has been achieved in Trainz yet so we might have to wait on that one.
Care to share any more detail's on your Layout as i just yesterday got the Cape Lambert DEM into Trainz.
This is the Car Dumper ( I think )

I also have the DEM for Dampier and Port Hedland in game, Only the port/unloading area's so far as i think driving 400 klm or so in game would put most folk's to sleep so i'm still trying to work out what to do there.

But the Dash 8 is coming along ok as well for these Route's.
Absolutely beuatiful area to make a layout in game for just the details are very far and few in between unfortunately so i can only go off what pic's i can find online.
Cheers Mick.

Love your work Mick.

You clearly have more skill, and maybe more time, than I do!
I've only started by laying the roads out but the distances aren't 100% correct and i just don't get a chance to play with it.

I don't work at the Cape, I'm at 7-Mile, so I'm not clued up on the workings or locations there, but remember they're currently undergoing rail duplication and plenty of other work out there.
The image you've attached, and from confirming on Google Earth, looks to be CD2C. The only reason I say this is that CD1C is used for the "J" Series (Robe wagons) and they are slightly longer, the wagons on the West (Left) look longer than the East (right) on G/Earth. The wagons in that image are on the empty car line for the West (Left) dumper, the one I believe is CD1C.

I can get you images of 7-Mile if you'd like. I've got one from a plane, from a recent trip to Perth.
Are you looking at doing GEVO's or Dash9 with the correct cab instead of the EMD cabs? Again, I can get you pics if need be.

On a side note, you are aware the Dash-8's are only used at the Mesa J loadout on the deepdale line, for locotrol?
The fleet is entirely Dash9's and GEVO's now.

Bit more progress today on the Dampier area. I noticed these Solar Cell thing's in a lot of pic's on here so i thought i'd make one.

This is supposed to be the North West Coastal Highway Crossing just out of 7 Mile, Still heap's to make but i've started to reskin sum track and make sum desert type texture's.
Cheers Mick. Very Happy

Well a bit more progress today i've finally got one car in game and working ok apart from animation of the ore load.

Now i am working on the drawbar system between the two cars so in game it would like like a set of two......Hopefully.
Cheers Mick.Smile

Well the drawbar works and both Car's now sit on the track as a set.

I've started to learn animation for the loads but at the moment the only half decent texture i can find makes the wagons look like its full of M&M's..lol
I need to take a holiday over west so i can take a heap of pic's for 1) Good Reference Material. 2) To use as Textures.

I know the BNSF Dash 9's do not belong but they are great bits of gear and will hopefully soon be at least reskinned into sum thing more Aussified.
Wether i am close enough to the real thing though is debatable but for the time being i can at least start Route Building,

Thanks Jason but unless your camera is accidentally pointed down at the ground and you took sum pictures of it and the surrounding darker red rocks that are over that way then i am pretty much good for the moment mate thanks, Or if you happen to have a better pic of the actual Iron Ore loads as mine looks more like a load of spuds or M&M's lol.
I really need to get over there and take my own texture pic's as it's a bit hard to ask sum one to take a pic of the ground at their feet LOL. I might try to make the older style Robe Hoppers next as they look pretty interesting to me.

I have managed with sum help from a good mate to get sum Freight Australia Wagons working ok in game.
