TrackSAFE with Thomas & Friends

1.00pm to 4.00pmPlatform One, Central StationCalling all 2–5 year olds!Children between the ages of 2 and 5 are invited to attend this free TrackSAFE with Thomas & Friends event in their favourite Thomas gear. Peep peep!They will meet a life-size Thomas and learn about rail safety.The chance to meet Thomas in person makes this an unmissable event for your child, but it is more than just fun. TrackSAFE with Thomas & Friends has been especially designed to equip 2–5 year olds with rail safety knowledge that will stay with them for life. It could even save their life.What your child will experienceOver around one and a half hours children will meet the life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine and join in fun rail safety learning activities with other children.
- 'I know how to be trackSAFE' – a platform safety drawing activity
- 'I can show I am trackSAFE' – to practise strategies for being safe around trains and tracks.
- Practise getting on and off the train safely.
- Story time – a special guest will share Thomas & Friends books in the reading corner.
There will be face painting and a balloon artist, plus the opportunity for your child to explore, and even have a photo taken with Thomas. Just come to Platform One, Central Station, on the day and register for your timeslot. Timeslots will be available every 15 minutes starting at 1.00pm. The last timeslot will be at 3.00pm. You will need to stay with your child throughout the event.Note that media and photographers will be there. Anyone with young kids should consider this. I'm disappointed I never got to do anything like this!
Does anyone know how Thomas will get to Central?
