V-Sets: You can clearly see right inside them - and that is from a distance.

XPT sets:

From all of this I'm concluding that contrary to what meh had reported in communication with Auscision several pages ago that yes interior detail will be "available". So does this mean that initially the XPT sets will not come with interiors and that they can be purchased separately as an (presumably) extra cost after market item? And is this an extra cost above the cost increase that comes into effect at the end of October?
brissim
I agree that when put in context it does seem to answer the questions. Yes interiors will be part of the as-delivered product and that the XPTs are coming in 2014.

Auscision Models For those that don’t know how to read Facebook comments correctly I will write it again.
YES the XPT passenger cars will have interiors. They were designed like this from day one.

AND they will be available in 2014! That’s the XPT models not the interiors!
Auscision Models
But if they come with interiors, then why did they send a reply claiming that the XPTs won't come with interiors?

From what we can gather with what they have stated, they won't come with them, but the interiors will can be purchased separately.

They never did, they've responded to it and said they'll have interiors. End. Of. Story.

Also all cars will have orange tinted windows as per the prototype but don’t ask for passengers as they won’t have any!

We will say that it is harder to see the cattle, I mean passengers inside a Tangarbage, um ur Tangara, so that is understable.

We find it odd that the Tangara seems to be a popular model?

Newcastle Express - I was the one who floated the suggestion that the interiors may be coming separately. As I acknowledged several posts ago (and you have included part of my reply in your post) I got this wrong due to my misreading of Auscision's Facebook page.

It is now clear both from what they have posted on Facebook and from a private email reply to myself that interiors are included and will be part of the "as-delivered" product which is scheduled to arrive in 2014. As I eventually was able to do, read Auscision's Facebook in total context (and not just excerpts) and its pretty plain. Now while I still have some niggling questions about the issue, I for one really don't care. The bottom line for me is that for my $895 (if ordered before the end of October) I'll be getting what Auscision call a 7-car set (I have always considered 2 power cars and 5 passengers cars as being a "5-car set") with interior detail in the passenger cars.

So what! The Facebook comments from Auscision regarding the interiors have been posted by others on this thread and you still don't seem to understand that the XPT sets will be supplied in 2014 with interiors.

Maybe because its on Facebook, seems to be a severe phobia about the Book of Faces... Perhaps they need to put it "officially" on their blog/website/AMRM or something before it's actually 'acknowledged' as 'right'?

AN2 and the NHRH's arrived today. I've unpacked the AN and it looks fantastic. The wireless body is much appreciated.

The NHRH's i'll have a closer look at tomorrow, but they look superb.

The only negative is I couldnt afford more!

Morning All,

I received my AN's and NHRH's yesterday and have had a good look at them. They look excellent, glad I took the plunge to get the coal hoppers.

Only issue I found with the bat wing's is the end wagons, if you look at the set up, the ends are back to front. Only a minor one, but when you work on them every day you notice these things.

Cheers

Hello Tim,
by back to front, do you mean that (each) end is mirrored, or that the ends have been transposed end for end?

I took the NHRH's out of their packaging today. They look really schmick lined up. I installed the drawbar between two wagons (temporarily), and it made me think that putting all 7 together would be a challenge, as flipping them onto their wheels would need a few hands. really good effect they have though.

There's an O scale loco making its first appearance (not the 49's, it's another so far 'secret' loco project). Also first chance to see samples of the 45's and XPT's, squint and you can see them in this pic taken during exhibition setup today Wink

And I have been meaning to ask them about this pic from their website for a while.

Either advertising unsold silo's or maybe MRC's as new models. So need to compare with the redone TOR models at the show

Rod,

I was meaning transposed end for end. The brake hoses/rigging are at the incorrect end for the terminal cars.

I'm trying to figure this out... Do you mean just the RM (rear wagon) is the problem? I note all mine are packaged so that the RM is facing the wrong direction compared to all the other wagons, as such wouldn't rotating the model 180 degrees then have it pointing the correct direction as per the prototype and thus putting the brake gear in the right spot?
  Termite Chief Commissioner

Location: NSW
Poath,

Yes if you place all the wagons together, the 2 end wagons should by rights have the arrows facing the wrong way. However if you swap them around they are ok. But if you leave it set up as per the prototype, the arrow is wrong way around, if you simply turn the wagon then the brake detail is all wrong compared to prototype.

As I've always maintained though, it is possibly just trivial.
