Managed to speak with Wendy today.  Graham did come home last weekend for a night, but sadly returned to hospital on the following day.  He is battling some complications from the operation.  Let's hope he recovers quickly and is able to return home soon.

I also understand Tim the dog has switched clubs from Collingwood to Carlton for the remainder of the AFL finals.

Has there been any update on Graham's condition? Hoping he's not sidelined for much longer and that he makes a full recovery

Sorry, was updated by Wendy on Saturday. Graham is still unwell and fighting an infection and has various other challenges. It is unlikely he will leave hospital in the next 2 weeks.

Yesterday marked the 5 weeks since Graham went into Hospital.  So it is a long stint.

Spoke to Wendy(Graham's wife) who advised that the second operation on Graham's knee is finally starting to heal with the skin grafts being a huge success.
He is still experiencing difficulties in eating and has lost a lot of weight.
He and Wendy have been offered to take Graham home and have a full time nurse in attendance at the Gheringhap residence or have Graham moved to a private hospital facility'McKellars' about 5 mins up from Gheringhap. The latter seems to be the preferred options with all facilities on hand for Graham.
Maybe Graham will be out the following weekend or the weekend after.
Let's all hope and wish him the best for a great recovery so he can get back to doing what he loves doing best.
His dog Tim has now switched over to the Hawks.

Have just spoken to Wendy again.  Graham is much better and was able to walk yesterday.  This is good news.  He is also back on his food so double good news. Wendy does not want to speculate on when he might be home but believes we are talking within the next 14 days.  We are at 9 weeks currently so perhaps graham is trying to set a new record?

That's great news, shall be good when we get him back good as new! Razz

I heard that Tim will be lining up for a Footscray membership next year (as might I), something about the Bulldogs name? Could anyone confirm?

Just got off the phone from Wendy.  Graham is scheduled to return to Elliottsville on the 11/11/2013.  He is feeling much better and is now able to move around unassisted but not unaided.  So we now have an arrival date for the King of Elliottsville.

News from Gheringhap is good!

Hi guy's, I am finally home after a nightmare two and a half months in hospital, in which time I lost 19Kgs. The knee replacement operation got infected and it turned into five operation. Coming home today was the good news. The bad news is that my meeting with the surgeon yesterday resulted in him telling me that he will be removing the infected new knee on 9th Dec and replacing it with some sort of packing in the knee. Then in about two months after he will replace that with another new knee. What did I do to deserve all this?

Thanks Brian & Railpage for hosting my Gheringhap Loop Sightings website. The website is now up to date in the "Latest" & "This Weeks" Files at http://ghaploop.railpage.org.au/index.html . I am sorry for all the missing sightings, I will probably be able to retrieve the Aug/Sep sightings when I fell well enough but I think I have lost the Oct sightings due to a computer shutdown while I was in hospital.......  Graham of Gheringhap
