Thanks for the link to the piccies. Lets me see what I am missing by not being there. I suggest you put the same link on the Fred for the Liverpool exhibition.
I can feel an MRC or two coming on, and that has nothing to do with the Auscision blog. Wonder when their MLVs will be on sale. Very likely the first thing I buy from Auscision. Unless their 45 class gets here first that is.

Went to the show today...
The 45 looks almost complete. I'm thinking that they will not be far from release. Expect the great AR kit versions to hit ebay.
The XPT looks fantastic....not sure if its worth the new higher price of $1200 but still looks the piece and finally retires the HST repaints of the last 20 years .
Picked up an AN in green/yellow......wow! Awesome loco and long also. All the Ghan versions were gone.

did Auscision give any updated information on the expected delivery date of the EDI GT46C-ACe Locomotive ?
The website still says expected in 2013, but it is only less than 3 months to go. Also in the August AMRM in the news section it was mentioned that there is a delivery break after the arrival of the AN class.
They haven´t answered questions regarding the ETA of the EDI GT46C-ACe Locomotive on Facebook.
Any information is highly appreciated.

I'm almost shocked/disappointed no one has picked up an error in the blog announcing the VLX's... TWO errors, in fact!
Interesting deal with the pre-orders, helps to let them know what is already pre-sold and will move as soon as they arrive, and dangling that extra "carrot" will no doubt help accelerate that take up!
Anyone guessing the circumstances of them announcing them early was competition?

I think that puts paid to a third re-re-re-run of the Bob's (nee:Tom's)/TrainOrama vans, then.
You'd think the SAR grey LX's/ALGX's and other SA 'based' vans in contemporary liveries would be announced by both later on...

Has anyone else noticed from the drawings on the Products page of the website, that the Indian Red and Reverse versions don't seem to show the sand fillers that were relocated to the sides of the hoods.
Happy to be proven wrong, but I believe they were relocated very early on in their lives, so I would think the 1980's versions should have them on the sides and not the ends of the hoods.
Maybe it's just the drawings, but they can be made out on the sides on the Candy/RT/Blue versions.
Also a bit peeved that they are not doing more Indian Red numbers (1980's) with double marker lights.
Wonder if the Indian Red 1980's versions come with the pipe that was fitted over the top of the radiator fan. It is shown on the candy etc versions, but I know of photos of Indian Red versions with them.

I wouldn't read too much into the various sketches shown on their website; I reckon they are just exactly that (ie: sketches), designed to show the various paint schemes rather than being accurate as far as body details are concerned. Another thing that jumps out is that they all have 4 windows per side of cab; whereas the early versions only had 3 windows. Again, I'm not concerned about that whatsoever.
On the other hand, I'm curious as to whether they'll be offering a "Buy 4 and get a 5th 45 loco FREE" offer??? If so, I'll be very happy indeed!!!!! hahaha
