    Hi all

    The Mary Ann doesn't often get a mention, but it still runs every week in Maryborough, Queensland, along the Wharf Branch. It's a good little trip...

    299 used to run that section. It was moved from the station after being vandalised. Whatever happened to her?

    299 lives in the goods shed with Mary Ann as far as I know. It hasn't been steamed since the late nineties and the Maryborough station site has been sold for redevelopment so just where the two locos will end up I'm not sure, but I believe something has been worked out with the developer.

    A lot of work went into restoring 299, bit of a shame she is languishing.

    Maryborough station has been squeezed by development for a long time. Spent an hour or two wandering the station with camera in hand some four years ago now.

    Reminded me of Newcastle, but with less trains. Without the factory, the branch would have been lifted long ago.

    I was in Maryborough for the Scout Jamboree in January.  On my day off I went into Maryborough, and was very pleased to see Mary Ann doing her duties down at the park!  I had a ride and took lots of pics and video.   Thousands of Scouts also enjoyed a ride on Mary Ann!
