By "at the end of Bill Grove, Mowbray", is that at the Clare St. end? Looking at Google satellite view, there are some wagon like objects sitting alongside the dirt road that runs off Bill Grove near Clare St. Is that them?

Here is a former Sentinel Rail Car sitting on the former Mole Creek rail corridor on someone's property in Chudleigh. It is in terrible condition!

...also there is some kind of old carriage in someone's front yard on the same road just out of Deloraine. It seems to be an old livestock carriage with the number 81 on the side of it. Here is a screen grab from Google street view.

Don't know if it has been mentioned before of whether it even is an old wagon.  But as I was heading back up from Hobart yesterday I thought I saw one sitting in the rear yard of a house in Campbell Town.  It is in the last group of houses on the left as you approach the Northern end of the town.  So if anyone else is passing through they might be able to have a look see.

Well thats pretty good for a start! Get a suitable underframe, get those hoppers and it wouldn't be beyond the realms of probability to re-assemble a 'BC'!

At least it is known now, that a pair of the hoppers survive at least!

Thanks again Clynton!

Got another (sorta), its EE 19 the one at 195 Lalla RD nothing left on it. I seen the owner and gave him some info (paint colour etc etc) on it, he told me back in the 1960/70s, when the place was a restaurant the train derailed and dumped logs and wagons across the front paddock (hopefully he scans the pics he has!!) and this wagon is a remnant from that derailment!! So there you go a unexciting wagon with a interesting story, always pays to go see the owner (i'll come home with one someday!).

Just wondering Clynton, is the photo link the correct one for the story about EE19 at 195 Lalla Rd? The number is correct but the wagon in the photo is a wooden grover EGX or EXP van, as opposed to a bogie steel EE?

Yeah looks correct I couldn't go closer (angry ram in same paddock) it's defiantly only 2 letters though it has a sliding door I thought those ones you mentioned had swing doors

In turn I would like to thank the guys in the Tas. ARHS (Phil L. & Steve W.) for spotting it via satellite view on NearMap. I think this is a great confirmation of what was hopefully suspected might have been the case.

A 'CD' and now a 'BC'.....I wonder what other long lost classes are still lurking out there? If anyone can find them, Electric C can!!!

Well done Electric C. I'm amazed on what was thought to be dead and scrapped, still surviving out there.

Would the current owners be interested in selling those wagons though? Hopefully they are!

The CD looks to be more of a pain for the farmer (the cows have worked out they can use it as a bridge) so can't see what other purpose it serves. The BC is completely useless (well always would of been) as it is behind a shed no way to get to it except walk though waste deep grass and the sawmill was burnt out a couple of years ago and the owner has gone to hospital so I'll find out more soon I hope

Sounds promising. As soon as DTT has somewhere to put them (and hopefully bogies to put them on) I have already received pledges of donations to help get hold of them.

With a ZC, CD, BC, open access and a brake conversion, you'll be able to compete in both the bulk and intermodal markets.......
