    So how long has it been since you changed usernames? I get the feeling that a few members here have more than one alias or have been reincarnated numerous times. In particular when it comes to my political party is better than yours! You blokes are just as bad as the politicians with all the arguments and scrapping like children in the playground. But it is a good source of amusement for me. Pass me the popcorn...

    From memory, I believe the only way to have your name changed is through an admin/mod, with a great excuse for it.

    Yes. That is correct. However, multiple alias' are normally banned on sight. These users are usually not allowed to come back. Exceptions are usually a good bloody excuse as to why these should be part of RP.

    The comment seems to be an unwarranted attack on the membership. Kind of a "look at how many arguments you lot have. I don't care, I just enjoy watching it because I'm better than you" statement. Completely needless, if you ask me.

    It is. That's what I thought when I first saw it.

    T88 usually hangs around the political threads though, so of course you're gonna have arguments. :S

    I agree. It's more amusing watching them argue with the each other (yes, I've watched two alias' argue with each other. It's quite entertaining).

    First 2 posts - different usernames although they are extremely similar. Posts are 20 minutes apart and both seem to have the same (lack of) syntax.

    Although I have recently moved house I can't be bothered getting down on my knees to change it to Avaloncommuter. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say they do it because their conversations with other users isn't to their liking, so they make an alias to flog to make them look better, have conversations with, gang up on other users etc. However I'm useless at detecting such activities so I wouldn't know when it was happening, unless someone hinted it to me! Razz

    Well T88 got a warning for language and wording bordering on discrimination, but was a only minor warning. He did not like it. However let that be enough about that. STB has been back and asked for this thread to be locked/removed without contributing. He is not a moderator here and has been largely ignored.

    But he is right in one aspect - by talking how to get around our username and ip for accounts, that is considered a illegal activity intended to promote  more than one username, or to get back on if banned.

    As a result I have deleted two posts, and edited another.

    So the topic is closed.
