THE Public Transport Users Association said Labor's transport alternative falls short of solving Melbourne's transport woes, but delivers some benefits for Stonnington residents.
Last Tuesday Labor announced Project 10,000 - the transport policy it will take to the next election, committing itself to the construction of the Melbourne Metro Rail project.
The project involves a doubling in size of the City Loop, connecting the Sunbury rail line at South Kensington to the Dandenong rail corridor at South Yarra.
It also includes the construction of five new underground stations, two in the CBD, at Arden, Parkville and Domain.

Would this not have been included in the Melbourne Metro Tunnel which Labour have not agreed to complete just partially fund.
