NSW Train Driver Intake

Hi guys,

I've been reading through some of the Train Driver discussion threads on various forums and I'm very keen and interested to join on the next intake. I know there are a few knowledgeable people of the train driver traineeship process. I was just wondering if anyone has any information on the next intake and what I should do from now until that time in preparation.

I have a generally good health, my BMI is just on borderline under weight. I do have a minor heart condition but my doc has said it's so minor that it's nothing the worry about. I am a very mechanical person, I like hands on stuff and I don't have a great back so train driving would be ideal for me. I get to move around every two hours and there's no lifting going on.

Any help and guidance would be appreciated!

Greetings!

May i suggest that you pay a visit to the Employment forums They are overflowing with just the information you are looking for.
For example, here is a thread on the CityRail Drivers: http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11357402.htm

If you wish to go into freight, then some good tips and experiences can be found here:http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11357402.htm

Spend a bit of time reading in there, and all your questions will be answered. Of course, there are others in the forums ready to help if you ask for it.

So, you have a green to depart! http://www.railpage.com.au/f-f59.htm
