My apologies for not responding earlier.

*Said solider* was a General of the U.S Army during the 1930's. *Said solider* visited Australia during 1942 and walked in the bunker tunnels that surround the City Circle.

He retired in 1964 and died in 1980.


EDIT = Noticed an error in my first clue. He was in the U.S Amy for 62 years (1903-1964).
