Could it be the class related to the 48 Class, the PL Class, or (cough, UR cough) perhaps the Danish Nomads?

Going on that image, there must be tooling for a 421 waiting to go as well.
They couldn't make a decision and turn out a sample that quickly unless both options were pretty far advanced.

They just uploaded a video to their FB page of the 43 having a run. I also like the wagon in the load, Nzza 600, hope they do it in RTR. Would save me scratch building one.

Saw this 43 in person and its quite awesome. Much better than the Mansfield and lloyds versions. Looking very good.

Anyone happen to ask when the 43 is likely to be delivered ? I didn't but I asked about the 45 and the response was November this year .

I asked PW that question, & he said early New year, hopefully pre CNY, which is Feb 19th, so would need to be finished likely a week earlier than that.

I hope that is right.

What an expensive 6 months - with the 45/43/46/86 all lined up followed by XPT's etc.....

I guess its a bit of a gimme or similar.

So as for answers it would likely indicate Mk1 44cl as delivered, including probably staged modifications over the years. The photo shows them in close to the last renditions in the old scheme prior to reverse etc. Could it be to take on the TOR version which as sold out or maybe the next rendition of the O scale as modified version?

All the colours of the rainbow. But what are they trying to tell us???

From my knowledge the current Auscision range only covers the 86's and 422.
Powerline have the 81's and 48 currently with Austrains 80's rounding out the group.
Posts like this are a little concerning.....
You could take it with the way things are being announced lately that they intend to do a  48/81/80 class... I would hardly doubt that but its kind of interesting what this actually means.
An updated 80 class would not go astray.....they have already targeted the 421 and x class....

I'm for the duplication of the 81 class......just a sensational loco that deserves the attention.
  brissim Chief Train Controller

If nothing else it will get people talking and speculating about what it all means. Can't do the Auscision brand any harm.

Out of curiosity is this a real photo or has it been photo-shopped to bring all 8 locos together? I just don't recall any occasion when all eight where together even for a publicity shot. The location looks like Broadmeadow yards.

It's real.
  2LaGrange Train Controller

Certainly is a real shot taken at Broadmeadow in 1989 i think and was done as a publicity shot as at that time 422s were never rostered north of Enfield usually except possibly for ballast trains or maitenance at cardiff workshops.
Auscision certainly pose some questions with this picture.80 class need doing, will we ever see Trainorama 48 and same with the Austrains 81s ?????
  Erail Locomotive Fireman

I get the feeling that Auscision may have done a deal with Trainorama to take over their 44 and 48 projects maybe???? I hope so because with two companies doing the 48 class and neither offering other colours other than Tuscan is very frustrating. Hopefully Auscision will do all colours for the 48 as I would like at least 3 x blue freight rail, candy, red terror, reverse. Oh the bank account will hurt.
  gw0071 Deputy Commissioner

An 81 to trump any current/previous version would be perfect. The 44/48 theory also sounds believable. The 80 was acceptable - in the 1990's

Auscision is one of few, if only the lone importer I am comfortable and confident enough in to pre-pay for products. I have experienced an extremely unfortunate occurrence to justify this outlook

Is it possible we may see the emergence of alliances before there is too much more duplication?

Bring on the Auscision 48's !!!

They are doing the father (45's) might as well do the son's

Tired of waiting for ToR to get them out even with the early bird price I pre-paid way back when....I understand that there have been problems in China, but really should it take this long? Will the ToR 48 surpass the Eureka R class for lateness?

Regards,

Catchpoint
