    Currently being cut up on site at the Gemco Compound Bellevue.
    K206, K210, D48 remain intact, D47, D49, D51, K205 have already been reduced to frames.
    The ex SOTW /ARG lounge car was also started to be broken up by mistake apparently and now looks certain to be scrapped.

    I never did see K205 in the green livery - the last time I photographed it was on the last run of the SOTW.  Didn't see D47 or K206 either.

    Are they scrapping the NA and the narrow gauge locos as well?

    The NA has already been stripped in South Australia (I think) and is awaiting it's fate.

    That leaves the two NB's

    So out of the EE machines in Australia, does that just leave the 2xZB (ZB2120&2124), R1902 and KA212 that are still on the mainline?

    I've not read much about them on here, so would appreciate if anybody knows what they are doing (or not doing!)

    Tasrail still has 4 MKA's running at the moment, possibly only for another month though.

    Last time I saw R1902 it was at Bellvue, though I've heard narrow gauge stock isn't being scrapped.

    R1902 is in Bellevue as of the weekend, and the lounge car is missing almost half the roof and part of the walls, having been removed with the grabbing claw on the excavator - confirmed that the damage is too much for repair, and it will be scrapped.

    Why would they even consider to repair it when they are giving them away, probably done on purpose to dispose of it. Such a shame that the once smart looking SOTW ended up this way.

    No, 2129 was operational and did substantial work in W.A.

    2124 you mentioned earlier was the spares part source and was stripped and scrapped in Tasmania.

    That is criminally negligent incompetence. Reminds me of the "mistaken" scrapping of the last WAGR Msa Garratt. The scrapper should be sued for the cost of rebuilding the carriage to as new, plus punitive damages.

    In the case of the Msa, they were german and told to go out and scrap loco's so it wasn't exactly their fault. This however... as per above.

    There appear to be no more standard gauge locos in the yard. Its all been cleaned up and looks as if the Ks were never there. Were any of the Ks saved?

    Nope, all K's and D's (one which was actually a K) were scrapped on site. Only K208 is left in WA, with about 3 others over east. I wouldn't hope too much for the eastern K's survival. K208 however seems to fill a niche nicely so we can only hope...

    Three K's were cut up at Midland, K205/06/10

    K210 had an overhauled donk and main gen I think, so that was the one that should have gone to the museum, for a future generation to run on trains someday.

    Visited Gemco Compound Bellevue on Friday 23/10/2015 with a mate from the UK.

    All 5 locos are still there in exactly the same positions (ZB2129 & RA212 bogieless).

    The only difference from Sam's July post is that R1902 seems to have lost its silver plated numberplates on at least one side.
