The new station at Epsom will be serviced by the Echuca trains .
PLUS the previously announced intention is that alternate Bendigo trains will originate/terminate at Eaglehawk and Epsom .
The Shadow Minister of Transport has been asked to follow up re late (over a year overdue) completion of Echuca Line boom barrier project, and why the promised increase of line speed to 100kmh for DMU has not occurred. To date (two months after contacted) the Shadow Minister has still not replied. Does not seem at all interested.
The Riverine Herald and people at Echuca should be rattling the bars a bit more on this issue.

Epsom station is for the people that want a seat on the train and a parking spot. Bendigo carpark is filling up and can not be extended. Should save 2 mins for boarding at Bendigo but loose 5 mins for slowing down to a stop and boarding at Epsom unless train will be express Bendigo-Castlemaine-Gisborne-Sunshine or Bendigo-Sunshine. Its got to be an election stunt.
Grosso, does the DOI have a standard set of railway station designs and merely chooses a design to fit the purpose and location or are all new railway stations designed from the ground up?
