Are you only talking about getting to the station as opposed to the station itself?
If it's the station itself, I think Town Hall is really bad. Platforms on top of other platforms, and very poor signage in the concourse area.
I get lost every single time - it's barely marked from the outside and I always end up going south instead of north, or exiting to a bus only to find I went three blocks in the wrong direction, etc etc, even with gps.
Is there something wrong with me or do non-gunzels feel the same?
omg Wynyard is so confusing I've been searching for a year and I STILL cannot find platforms 1 & 2!

All i know the main exit is east and up for Wynyard station.
Wynyard has four platforms, ferchrissakes. All are well signposted. All run north-south. All exits are well signposted. I assume the OP has equal difficulty with such complex problems as shoelaces, chewing gum and walking at the same time, etc.

- exit stage right (George St ramp). See you all next time I log in. Or not.
HINT: google Shinjuku station, Tokyo. World's busiest. You may need your mum and/or teddy.
I've only spent a few days in Sydney, but I had no problems at all with Town Hall or Wynyard. I found Central to be VERY confusing, I actually had to ask a staff member where to go. Very poorly designed station.
Seems like (to paraphrase another metaphor) a complaint looking for a problem.
I never have ANY trouble at Wynyard, and I have been through some of the other stations mentioned as comparisons.
I find the Wynyard signage pretty concise, and easily tells me in which direction I need to go (but then I do tend to do a tad bit of research about where my destination is located).
If you have the address of your destination, you will be fine, if it is in one of the side streets, you might be screwed, but that is your problem for not having done some basic research as to the location of your destination (if they listed EVERY POSSIBLE street, it would be even more confusing, as there would be too MUCH information).
In short, do some *basic* research first, get some odea of the major streets around where you need to go, and then follow the signs for those streets.
Easy as.

I hate the place with a passion. I get lost every single time - it's barely marked from the outside and I always end up going south instead of north, or exiting to a bus only to find I went three blocks in the wrong direction, etc etc, even with gps. I just dread going there. Is there something wrong with me or do non-gunzels feel the same?I have never had a problem with Wynyard, but I was shown by my parents where to go to catch a train or tram. Yes, I'm old but I still remember when 38ers were green, when Bradfield cars were on the front of some suburban sets, and trams went to Bondi! Buses? Nup, too slow and dirty.
