Passengers travelling away from the city on the T1 North Shore Line are advised to allow additional travel time due to urgent track repairs at Redfern. Passengers should also listen to announcements and check indicator boards.
Any news on what are the remaining problems preventing trains getting to Lithgow, now that it has been two days since the snowfall.
Is there still snow on the tracks, as the Sydney trains disruptions page seems to imply?
Is it all proving just too hard to clear the tracks with the available resources (or do they just want to wait for the snow to melt away), or is there signalling and/or other infrastructure damage?
The track has been undergoing inspection to ensure it is right for rail traffic and there has been some signalling repairs necessary. Should be right for Monday morning was the last I'd heard.
Hmm... well there have been plenty of freight trains getting through as per usual. This makes me wonder if the issue is with the overhead/power supply.
Fire or just fire alarm... I can't recall which exactly was mentioned.
