@bevans

I have been looking at this project and note the following. The camera images of two years ago are very clear compared to those of today. To explain I have linked two images, one from today and one some years old.

This image is from the 4th June 2011.

The difference in Image quality is remarkable. Does the camera deteriorate over a period in the weather?
8077

There is a marked difference @8077 in the images.  I do believe the cameras fade over time and I will plan replace the camera #2 in the first quarter of next year.  The image from 2011 is much clearer I agree.

This problem has been reported in the 3.9 feedback section.  You are correct in that it is currently broken.

@freightgate thanks for the update.  I have been busy working today.

@Michelle12 the Railcam team lead has fixed the issue down at the site today. The time issue has also been fixed. We are now sending images to flickr and into the DAMS platform for testing.

Hi Michael.  I have tried clicking the second column and that does take me to the actual image.  Appreciate your assistance.

That is a really useful feature.

There is currently a problem with camera 2 at Bunbury Street.  @Michelle12 is on her way to the location and we will remote diagnose the issue and work to bring the system back up.  Michelle is currently down at the Albion Site.

The Bunbury Street camera is working agin but hell those party guys have placed a flag or pole with a flag in the frame for the camera.  Could this @Michelle12 be causing all the photos without trains which are coming through?

I have purchased a replacement for Camera #2 at Bunbury.  That camera is quite old and needs replacement as the images are  not as clear as I would like.

My approach will be to add the new camera and run in parallel with Camera #2 until happy with the setup.  Then cutover.  The new camera is HD being the same model as the Stawell camera.

The issue with the bunbury cam images not appearing has been fixed.  There are 158 images in the queue which are now being processed.

Should be back to normal shortly.
