RP 3.9 Bugs and Feedback

Problem with avatars?  The first time I used the new version, my own avatar was gone, to be replaced by a Grey Head.  So I uploaded my avatar again, and then it was OK.  When I look at any thread now, some posters' avatars appear correctly, but most are just Grey Heads, and I don't remember it being like that before.  I'm wondering if other people also need to re-upload their avatars?
Lad_Porter
Yes I think all will need to re upload their Avatars to get rid of all those grey heads! I had to do it to mine as well.

I read it (and wrote it as) "account creation and login with a Google account".

In what way? If you expect a fix, I need more information.

Some of my posts still change size (the last example, for some reason it changed the font to size 5!), when I try to edit. While I did edit my previous post in the Newcastle Rail Line thread to get rid of the that, it just takes too much time to change to the normal size for all posts - especially when I had to get rid of about 20 size tags. Unless it's a short post, I'll think I leave it.

Now when I follow the link in a Thread Reply Notification e-mail I get
"
Home Forums Thread Storage Deleted Posts Cache (Self-Deleted)

Information

The thread or post you requested does not exist

About this website

Railpage version 3.9.0.0045
"
But if I then look via the forum menu I can read the posts in the thread. No big deal, but might be related to the other bugs people are reporting.

Sounds like someone replied to a thread, triggering a notification email, and then deleted their own post. Zippity squat we can do about that.

One little annoyance I have noticed is that RP seems to create a new page in a post when it actually hasn't got any posts in it. For example a thread in Melbourne suburban said 8 pages but when I clicked on the "8" I got an error message. Clicking on page "7" brought up the last post which was at the end of page 7.
Also, the quick reply panel doesn't seem to have access to smileys anymore. ( At this point, I would normally insert a smiley, but unfortunately I don't seem to be able to!)

This has been an ongoing thing and can happen anywhere across the board, you log in and find a thread you are interested in and click on the last page only to get the error as above, I have had it several times of late and it is annoying! There is no pattern to it that can be seen but it is happening just the same and as I said can pop up anywhere on the site!

Eh? It's been around for over a year. All I did was give it a polish in this last update.

Last visit date/time has not updated since RP 3.9 was implemented.

Edit: Also threads marked as read are getting marked as unread again as I read other forums.
Graham4405

These have started happening again. Currently showing "Your last visit was on 08 Jan 2015 12:04." when I had visited between 18:30 and 19:00 (and logged out afterwards).

Edit: The login history confirms this visit, showing a login time of 18:48.

As I have been browsing the forums tonight I have followed my usual procedure of visiting my regular forums one by one, reading new posts in threads that interest me, then marking all threads in the forum read. Later I find that threads that I haven't actually read but have marked as read have returned to showing as unread. Examples include: News, Queensland and Locomotives and Rollingstock.

Page format for mobile device has changed for the railcams.

Previously it listed the most current image from each camera which was perfect.

The format is less desirable but not sure how it can be fixed ?

Are you saying it now does not show the current image?

*checks*

It does...?
