A question for the Auscision aficionados please. I have only relatively recently developed any interest in the AM blog, since they started making models with some relevance to my model rail endeavours - 45, 43 and 421.
My question is who writes the blog? He or she uses the first person pronoun so I would have to wade through months of old stuff to pick up a clue. Easier to ask here. The following is copied from the blog, and if anyone would like to identify those mentioned I would be grateful:
"Jeff and i have returned from our trip to the USA and we will be back into full steam for the next few weeks before Jamie, Panda & myself fly out to China to check on the progress of our many projects... "
So who is Jeff, Jamie, Panda and the blog author?
Half the fun with the Auscision FB and blog updates is the element of 'what could it be?'
From my understanding, Peter Wilks is the main author of many of the updates and maybe there are more than one author but thats the general impression that we have . He was also at one stage many years ago associated with Trainorama/Toms @ West Ryde and I do remember buying a 44 from him but he was just in sales from my understanding.....
I also remember him stating that when he had a few ILM 86's class loco's in the shop that were already sold out that he could of sold the candy ones 10 times over due to the number of people wanting those sold models - well that pretty much happened!!!
I imagine Jamie is Jamie Fisher who is associated with the Motive Power mag, Auscision and in general some pretty good photography to boot. I think he is associated with SSR also - maybe as a driver but I'm not sure.
Panda? I have no idea...but Jeff works in the Auscision team and responds to emails etc here and there.....
Half the fun also is that many of the teasers that are released actually eventuate into an actual release within an acceptable timeframe. Great publicity for their product and the lastest batch of loco's are just awesome, with very few complaints from buyers.....
I just can't wait for the V Sets!!!!
