Can I ask what train this is please?

Railpage Loco Database has GL107 as being operated by Qube Logistics.

That's the Balco train (http://www.balco.com.au/), runs between Bowmen's and Outer Harbour. Export Hay mainly.
They use leased loco's from CFCLA.

In that case who is the operator?

Balco as previously stated a couple of posts above.

No point in updating the database, as AFAIK it's just a ring in for a few days.

Thanks for explaining.  I did not know the Balco was an operator.  I thought they were a customer and GWA or PN or someone else ran the train.

To be fair it may not be Balco's name on the hire agreement and they may not be the accredited rail operator. Historically it may still go under the Patrick Portlink SA name. Just to confuse things TOLL are involved as well.

Neither GWA or PN are involved except for last minute, short term loco hire which is very rare these days.

I think you'll find that the operator of this service now is Bowmans Intermodal, a privately owned unlisted company with some equity coming from Toll and Balco. My mail is that PPSA sold its share completely with the restructure a few years back, including ownership of 103, currently stored at Islington Workshops.

After working on the Balco in tandem with CM3309 since Friday, GL107 was replaced on the train by VL360. Not sure if the GL failed?
