Apart from Adam Goodes saying Invasion Day, which he will agree was strong, mostly he is arguing that Indigenous people be treated with respect and hasnt mentioned about Land Rights at all.

Graham for all intents and purposes it is their country, like Britain belongs to White Anglo Saxon People and so on. There is no ambiguity about that.

Genuine Aboriginal people (and I know many) do not care about land rights etc and will happily co-exist with those of other races that show them proper respect, just as they have co-existed with the native wildlife for thousand of years.

I have a problem with that statement. So you are only comfortable with Indigenous people who are quiet? Are you saying that Adam Goodes is not a Genuine Aboriginal? Like the American Indian they have been marginalised in their own country. Mr Goodes is seeking recognition of his people, like what happens to Indigenous people in Canada and NZ. Are you happy being called a murderer and rapist because of something that happened 200 years ago?   Me, I'm still angry at the French (the Normans) invading England and all the murders and rapes that occurred then.   Every country at some stage in history has been invaded/taken over/controlled by another and the treatment metered out to the inhabitants was usually cruel and inhumane.   I am not saying to forget what happened, but stop blaming the current citizens for atrocities in the past that we have no control of.   It was a different way of life when the British came to the land down under.   What happened then is recorded in history and that we never go back to that way of life again.   Do you agree that 10 year old kids that were transported out from England for stealing a loaf of bread was over the top?   That was the way of life then.

I am white but not of British background. My kids are 25% Chinese I refuse to be held accountable for what happened 200 years ago. In fact it's only a very very small minority of descendents that are even linked by birth.
