Thanks
Genesee & Wyoming is the only operator to transport grain by rail in SA, & only on an ad hoc basis like every other GWA grain train, sometimes there can be a few months without any running to the silos to Port Pirie & can be unpredictable. There are grain trains using Port Pirie but unsure of the train numbers or the operator.Northbound (empty) run as 1411s, southbound (loaded) is 4112s.
Only one train daily?
NSWGR8022, You need to remember that the rail companies (in this case G&WA) DO NOT decide when and where grain trains run, it is the Soil operators that decide when grain is moved, what mode of transport and who moves it.Genesee & Wyoming is the only operator to transport grain by rail in SA, & only on an ad hoc basis like every other GWA grain train, sometimes there can be a few months without any running to the silos to Port Pirie & can be unpredictable. There are grain trains using Port Pirie but unsure of the train numbers or the operator.Northbound (empty) run as 1411s, southbound (loaded) is 4112s.
