With the overnight time change in NSW and Vic how will the cameras at this new on eastern timezone be managed?

Will the cameras be in Central Time?
  BigTrain2015 Junior Train Controller

You can set your time zone on RP Jimbo so maybe the camera times will always be relative to your local timezone?

The work at the Mt Lofty site will definitely go ahead on Thursday with the installation of the cameras and other equipment.

Any locals in the neighbourhood are welcome to drop by.

Once this site comes online, we will need the local input for the information to be supplied on the shots just as we do with the other sites we operate.

Looking forward to seeing you at Mt Lofty.

The cameras are looking good, but they seem to have a very narrow focal field.

Narrow?  We can expand if required but will need some time to refocus the focal point.  We have two cameras connected and installed. We have tested the event detection.  The ARTC guys was so great.  He was on the track and ran up and down a few times for us to test.

Also of note the cameras as you would expect are set to Adelaide or Central time. The flickr account is also set to central time.

Not the field of view, the focal point Smile I just think it'll make loco number identification hard if the loco numbers are blurry...

Hi Bevans and Michelle 12. Was nice to meet you guys up at Mt Lofty B&B today. Thanks again for taking the time to show me the set up and its operation. Being a local to the area it will certainly come in handy - some great daylight shots there already and I hope there is enough lighting on the station at night to show up the action as well.  Job well done,  Thanks.

Great to meet you geegee, we have some bugs to be ironed out but we are managing to capture all the action with the most recent ones this morning being 3PM6, Overland, 5MP7 and 5MA1.

Thanks, Freightgate. We still need to work on toning down the sensitivity of the cameras to cut down the number of falsies.
  bevans Site Admin

Location: Melbourne, Australia
The sensitivity of the two cams has been lowered to 30.

Some additional tweaking will be required to get the right amount of pre-alarm video and also post.  Current running video 1t 15 seconds.  This compares to the Bunbury Street video of 30 seconds but Mount Lofty has FHD cameras so what is around 10meg per event at 30 secs.

I have cleaned out all the false images for the east cam (facing Tailem Bend) and will now start on the west (belair facing) camera.

Over 2300 false images have been cleaned from the feeds for Lofty and with the sensitivity changes to events we are becoming more normalised after 24 hours post install.
