A bit of look back into one of NSW smaller operators, Sydney Rail Services and what they started off with. From RL's and 48s to C class and now the new PHCs

Excellent Video but as I watched it I thought that except for the different colours on the containers, this could be the same train hauled by different Loco's due to the uniformity of containerised traffic today.
50 years ago whether it was hauled by Electric, Diesel or Steam, most of the wagons would have been 4 wheelers, all dirty flat black from years of use and in different shapes from the odd flat top to the work horse, the 'S' truck, open or canvas covered containing just about everything possible as cargo.
Depending on the time of day, day of the week or the area you would see both 4 wheel and Bogie type vans, Stock, Oil, Coal, Cement in either odd numbers or whole train loads.

Thanks.
The point of the video was to illustrate the different motive power they have operated with since starting up.

Does SRS run any trains in addition to the Crawford's one?

They did a boxed wheat train for a few months last year. But apart from that nothing else atm.
