Has anybody seen/have an opinion of the hobby equipment available for sale in the current Aldi catalog?

Was thinking of the 150W airbrush kit in particular

Thank you

Aldi have these on sale fairly frequently, we had several in our model group purchase them last year & all are happy with them.

The air brush itself is very similar to others that cost around the $50.00 mark.   The compressor works ok & with a gravity feed or bottle feed for the air brush is good value, the other pleasing aspect was the quietness of the compressor, especially if you spraying in the layout room

I bought one the other day, first impressions are quite good. Much quieter than my old one and the noise it does make isn't annoying to me. I havent tried the airbrush that comes with it yet so I can't comment on that.  It has a 3 year warranty so it should last 3 years and 1 day, which seems reasonable for the price.

And here I was hoping that Aldi was starting to sell model trains... Well, they could at least import Märklin, they are German after all.

Aldi  did import Marklin starter sets  for last Xmas . Basic freight set but with  a hand held digital controller , for memory the price was about $Au 189 initially but started to drop the week before Xmas & reached a low of about 1/2 price after Xmas . I brought 1 & the son brought 2  for his son who was 3   at the time .

Wally , who has had Marklin for over 65 years .
