    Blue Mountains Line  - Partial Closure

    "A limited number of buses are replacing trains from Lawson to Mount Victoria/Lithgow on the Blue Mountains Line due to urgent track equipment repairs at Leura. Passengers are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time. Passengers should also listen to announcements and check indicator boards. Trains towards Central are still running."

    There is currently an 8 car V-set stabled at Valley Heights.

    The 6:33am Blacktown to Campbelltown train has been cancelled due to the train requiring mechanical repairs at Campbelltown. The next service is the 7:03am Blacktown to Blacktown train. Alternatively, passengers can board a T1 Western Line train and change at Granville for a T2 South Line train. Passengers should allow additional travel time, listen to station announcements and check indicator boards.

    The Southern Highlands is partially closed between Campbelltown and Moss Vale due to a fatality at Bowral. Buses are replacing services between these stations. Passengers are advised to allow additional travel time.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line  - Delays
    Passengers travelling on the 12.15pm Central to Hamilton train are advised to allow an additional 20 minutes travel time due to the train requiring mechanical repairs at Central earlier. Passengers should listen to station announcements and check indicator boards.

Additionally, the 5.37am Hamilton to Gosford train is cancelled. The next train is the 5.52am Hamilton to Central or 6:07am Hamilton to Gosford trains.     They should show in the timetables & with this interuption that the 6:07am continues to Penrith via the North Shore from Gosford. Their are several trains that for some reason are shown as separate trips, even though they continue to/from Hamilton.

    Passengers travelling on the 3:45am Central to Broadmeadow service are advised to allow an additional 40 minutes travel time and passengers travelling on the 5:45am Central to Broadmeadow service are advised to allow an additional 15 minutes travel time due to earlier urgent power supply repairs at Eastwood. Passengers are advised to listen to announcements. Additionally due to trackwork, buses replace trains between Broadmeadow and Hamilton, then continue to Newcastle.

    Buses replace the 6:09am Moss Vale to Goulburn train due to industrial action. Additionally, buses will replace the 7:40am Goulburn to Moss Vale train. Please allow plenty of additional travel time and listen to announcements.


    Australian Rail Track Corporation workers will once again be holding Industrial action today, forcing NSW Trainlink to replace trains with buses. Workers have failed to reach an agreement on a number of issues including fairer rostering , improved consultation and better dispute resolution. The strike action will affect the Southern Highlands line south of Moss Vale today, and along the entire line tomorrow, Saturday and until early morning on Sunday.

    Hunter Line  - No Service
    From 11:45am until 2:30pm - Buses are replacing trains in both directions between Scone, Dungog and Hamilton on the Hunter Line, due to industrial action. Passengers are advised to listen to announcements and allow additional travel time. Additionally, buses will replace the 11am Maitland to Dungog train. Tomorrow, Friday 5 August, buses will replace trains all day. On Saturday and Sunday industrial action will continue, but buses will replace trains from 11pm Friday 5 August until 2am Monday 8 August due to trackwork.

    From Wednesday 3 to 7am Sunday 7 August, buses will replace trains on the Southern Highlands line due to industrial action. Buses will replace trains along the entire line on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and until 7am on Sunday 7 August. Please allow plenty of additional travel time. On Saturday and Sunday industrial action will continue, but buses will replace trains from 11pm Friday 5 August until 2am Monday 8 August due to trackwork.

Passengers are also advised that from 2pm until 4pm buses will replace all trains between Telarah/Dungog and Broadmeadow due to industrial action. Passengers should check indicator boards and listen to station announcements. Due to scheduled trackwork buses are also replacing all trains between Hamilton and Broadmeadow in both directions.
