I'm guessing the 18 odd hoppers that GML10 brought over from SA (through geringhap Tuesday 6.12.2016) and sent to the wagon maintenence centre at McIntyre Loop are in the process of being converted to BG from SG. These are similar in style to the hoppers already in use on QUBE's current Hanson service.
So does this mean the demand is higher to justify a second train, or does it mean the new operator is showing more interest in growing the business?
Also, I assume that the trains can not be lengthened due to limitations within respective sidings, so if a second train is to run, how often is it to run?

I would question whether this is the fate of the wagons. Given the current wagons would have pretty low utilisation, id say you could just add additional freqencies (subject to paths) and that would serve the customer??

Seems strange to take perfectly good WGBY's or similar off the bg if they are to donate their bg bogies to former sg iron ore hoppers for something other than rock.
Understand they have enough trouble now with these hoppers, as they cannot carry enough mass for the job per train. Trains usually 24 wagons, compared to 21 on the old APEX. The wagons can carry weight, however their volume is the weakness, and the quarry product is lighter per volume than iron ore.
Mind you, I've got no idea what they plan to carry with the iron ore hoppers either. Maybe they wanted the WGBY's back onto sg, and the hoppers were a good source of cheap bogies?

The WGSY rake left McIntyre Loop heading north on Monday night (behind a pair of RL's). The orange Chinese hoppers are still in there (as of last night).

G515-VL356-S313 on the UP hansen empty train via SCS at 14:20 today.

A G-T-G combo ran the down apex, seen on albion camera at 6:47pm on Monday 5/6/17.
I'd guess it was G532 leading as it looks to be in SCT colors, and G521 was reported on the Maryvale the same night.
The T class was one of SSR's, T386 maybe?
Third loco could of been G512 which ran the service solo earlier that day.

One of the lesser reasons for all white colour schemes on airlines is because it is far easier to throw a tarp over a tail plane and help conceal the identity, than have the whole airframe screaming the corporate identity as it is a crashed, burning mess on a TV screen....
