It is interesting that they have left out the sitting cars from the Indian Pacific and the Ghan.
These are the AG and BG class cars (built by SAR as "D" cars) which ran from around 1990 until last year on both trains.
They show up on the Ghan photos on the Auscision site as the second car after the van and on the seventh "IP" photo.
The "1992" and later Indian Pacific and later trains didn't run without them until last year (so only the latest scheme)
These are entirely different in size and shape and would need a completely different die.
But you can't run a prototypical train of that era without them.
The other point is the "yellow stripe" on the Ghan.
This was the red and yellow stripe where the red had washed off in the car cleaning.
The BG sitting cars replaced steel BA cars, and got their stripes later.
This shows up in both Ghan photos where the leading van has the stripe faded to yellow while the BG next to it looks brand new.
(that might be the first Ghan run by GSR....?)
I think I might buy the original IP set, which is correct without sitting cars, and it can also be a "Ghan" (or an "Alice", the Sydney Alice Springs train).
Since the "Southern Spirit" BRG sleepers are used on both the Ghan and IP with the appropriate badges, it is a pity they aren't being offered with those badges as an add on to the later sets. I guess you could buy the Southern Spirit add on and run them with the wrong plates. I haven't seen it but it might have happened.
