For a bargain price of $26.00 (posted) you can get an empty (or full of air?) plastic container. For a few dollars more you could get one full of foam.

I reckon an empty 2 litre milk container with holes in the lid would do as well.

I quite like the '**Any reasonable offer will be excepted **' in the description, it seems they've excepted a reasonable price from the listing.

It seems they finally decided to lower the price on that AD60 posted earlier, now only $2,000! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ad-60-Garratt-Model-Train-/201626965977?

A Life-Like GP38-2 in AN livery going for over $50 with bids. Yes, the one with the plastic wheels, pancake motor, 2 axle pickup and horn hooks (this one has been given Kadees however).

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/222191505411

Surely the Australian National livery and a pair of #5s somewhat screwed on at each end doesn't make it instantly worth $40 more than any other el-cheapo 1970s-quality Dash 2 in existence...

Also, $15 postage for a loco which weighs 380 grams.
  Gremlin Chief Train Controller

Although mentioned in another thread...I am just amazed at the postage cost from the UK.

N scale locos on eBay with $50 postage http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Graham-Farish-371-985-Class-64xx-0-6-0-Pannier-Tank-6407-GWR-Green-N-Gauge-/322204488496?hash=item4b04e25330:g:RlwAAOSwSv1XlhpA   sometimes only $30!!!

eHattons charges $5 for postage to Australia....so either eBay and/or the vendor are having a laugh about this...

Have a look at the going price for this 46 class.

Keep in mind, this variant of the 46 class is still (as of 08/10/2016 according to Auscisions website) still available direct from them for $295.

He will also throw in a Powerline or Lima loco free of his choosing. (notice he doesn't say what prototype the model will be, nor the condition of the "free" loco)

I think the seller may have got mixed up between the going price of a candy 86 vs candy 46. Although even with all things considered, $500 for a candy 86 is a bit steep IMHO.

To quite honest anything on E Bay that is Australian is really a rip off in places. Those like the above one that do not do there homework thinking that these models are rare or something amaze me with their starting bids which are usually way over the price you can get it from the manufacturer/distributor. Equal must be said about the buyers also not checking things out and then paying through the nose for a model that in the end the manufacturer/distributor will probably discount heavily to get rid of them in the end to make space for newer models.

Good God if the have internet connection it only takes a minute or so to check out a site for the current availability and price and most sites you can order on the site as well. Even including packing and handling etc it is still cheaper than those on E Bay.

It seem's today that a lot of modellers/collectors just have not got a minute or two to check up on anything. It is no use crying foul after you find you have been ripped off like that though, it is your fault for not actually checking availability and proper cost's etc in the first place. Fools and their money are soon parted.

I admit there are a few honest types on places like E Bay that do start the bids low but it is getting worse with these types that seem to think they can start at a price well over the normal RRP especially when the model is still available for the RRP.

I am not having a gripe at people bidding it up though, just at those opportunist's that start at exorbitant prices to start the bidding!

A certain hobby shop selling a certain "9 carriage push pull train" for $999! Gee, I've seen others that sell the same or similar items with good feedback for better value than that!

Now for the real reason for this post. Is their anyway to report a user using more detailed information, instead of just being restricted to about three options?"

Edit: I had more typed below, but for some reason, it "disappeared" when I pressed submit.

Note what brands the item is not, and note what the item is.

And you should see the reply I got. Very bad spelling &/or grammar. So bad, that's it hard to understand.

Anything on eBay associated with that store is offered at outrageous prices. I would estimate somewhere double the price on items that can be purchased elsewhere.

Everything from Berg's is overpriced, just look at the price of their second hand brass models. It's a wonder that they manage to shift any of it.

So it Berg's. For that price, it should be a shiny new strong titanium & brass!

There hasn't been much to laugh about recently, it seems.

Try this one on for size!

A standard Lima 422 with European couplers no less.  I thought it would at least have a DCC chip.

Happy bidding,

Not a bad bit of mark up considering the last ones made went for just over $100 and in the end where reduced to less price to simply get rid of them. Now with better models of these locomotives around RTR they would not really even be worth $100 to tell the truth. I have picked up a second hand Lima Australian locomotive that ran well and still had Lima couplers for about $50 or just a bit more. They are not what you would call rare though to try and get that amount for them.

The last one I got new and it was one of the later Hornby/Lima Chinese made ones was $89 brand new. That was the listed price for it at the time as well.

I wonder why it didn't attract any bids!  Price = $360, bid from $275.

Will it be relisted at a lower price?

Happy not-bidding,
