Perhaps not so wild. One of the FP7-FP11 was set up as a dedicated railcar for the Bomballa line, and another got seating for when it carried Royalty! Oh, and there was that facebook poll in Feb 2013 run by Auscision for "what would you like us to make?", which they started the ball rolling with about half dozen suggestions of which one was "NSWGR Paybus".

The Royal paybus was FP7 used in 1970 for HM QE2 at Coffs Harbour.  It has standard seating as per other Mk2 paybuses (and FP13?).  FP7 would have been tarted up for the Royal tour with non-standard seating and other embellishments, such as carpets and curtains.  Anyone have details of this special fitout?  FP7 is on display at the Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre, and has just received a full repaint.  Unfortunately it is non-operational due mainly to a missing gearbox.

FP13 was the dedicated railcar used on the Cooma to Bombala run, but probably ran more often as a taxi or train.

Happy guessing,

Thanks for that news.

Well as a NSW modeller I'm actually a little pleased because it means the credit card is going to have a break. The 85s would have been the only one that would had interested me but I've already got two IDR kits which certainly look the part. But then the 85s usually operated as quads................

..... a bit of an anti-climax, eh what?

The 85 and V set repaint don't interest me.  Too much of a narrow niche market methinks!  Maybe the boys at Auscision want these toys to play with

Will probably get an FP just for sentimental value.

Back to sleep..............

Happy snoozing,

Modern Pay bus was on display, and an 85cl, 3 different 48cl, one a pale blue, one in workshop grey, one in basically original colours.

A V set was also on show, didn't look bad though

While not an Auscision model, the SMR 10 On display and operating on a layour opposite the Southern stand as well. The load that the layout sample pulled was very impressive albeit a flat track but it was a long loaded train of CCH/LCH wagons.  A close look at the various samples in a glass case showed they are an excellent looking model.

Any photos/phone snaps please, for those of us working all weekend?
I guessed the V set modern colours but didn't see a paybus coming.
85 class have always intrigued me, must start saving for a couple!

Whilst at the Auscision stand today , over heard some one asking if they were going to do the 44 class the reply he got was maybe, repeatedly . So MAYBE we might have some Auscision 44's to save up for down the track .

Hi

Have heard that they said they would not do an 85 class but they have, so they keep us guessing.

They must have been ran off their feet as there hasn't been any Facebook announcement or placement of order forms.

Just when I thought my credit card was going to have a well deserved rest - along comes 8650. Fantastic. Certainly be getting a candy 8650 but certainly interested in what the cost will be.

And whether this could herald the possibility of the various Queensland tri-bo electrics.

Tony

Edit  :  I now notice the tri-bo 8650 placeholder has disappeared from the Products page next to the 85 Class to be replaced by a COMING SOON banner

No I didn't - but it was definitely there. After I read Black Ute's post early this morning I went to the Product page and it was there. At the time the link through to the 8650 Product page didn't work. A few hours later went back in to see if the link was working yet and found the COMING SOON banner in its place.

Wow, what a great idea!  I am sure that I could make a small fortune out of producing a model of 4501 (aka 7100).

Happy dreaming,

John

PS; Of course, I would need to start off with a big fortune.  ;o))

I'll keep on dreaming!  Would the wheelsets and mechanism be the same at the 46 class?  If so a new body and headstocks would need to be made.  4501 appears to be such a simple geometric shape i.e. a box, that it may be easy to make a body using a 3D printer.

Auscision V-Set - Another wonderful model from Auscision yet again.  Thank you Auscision!  I am lucky to have pre-ordered the sold out U21 Blue Goose model.

Has anyone fitted or plan to fit 2 x 21 pin sound or non-sound decoders to the V-set?  If so, what brand and price please.

Any assistance would be helpful.
