Brisbane: After 35 years the All Gauge Model Railway Club is in danger of closing and needs your help

After 35 years continuous community service at Carina, the All Gauge Model Railway Club Inc has been summarily asked to leave its clubhouse by the Camp Hill Carina Welfare Association (Clem Jones Centre) before 31 December 2017. Our clubhouse is to be demolished to make way for a 14-place carpark and All Gauge will now have to completely re-establish itself.

We have been told that there will be no financial compensation for the demolished building nor to assist All Gauge in transitioning to a new home; and even if subsidised land is made available, we simply cannot afford to build a new clubhouse. Our club is inclusive and benefits families and members of all ages. It provides recreation, welfare, and is an important support facility for the aged and people with disabilities. Our local community - for whom we put on numerous fantastic events each year - will be adversely affected.

All Gauge Model Railway Club Inc built its clubhouse, enhanced and extended its amenities, and for 35 years has been a popular and important community recreational facility. What we have built has actual value. We want to continue to hold Open Days and public events. We do not want this crisis to end our Club.

Please show your support by signing our petition on our website at http://www.allgauge.org.au - where you will find more information on our current plight, long history, and service to the community.

Thank you.
All Gauge MRC.

I am not a member of this group, but they are a community minded group who do great work with young modellers and it would be a shame to see the end of them.
So please support them by signing the petition.
