Muscle Creek Bridge if that's of any help?

Just on the edge of town I think.

Not another too high load on the NE Highway, at Muswellbrook, where it passes under the rail lines?

Yes on the south side out past the golf course.
So, not just the Ulan Line out of action, also the line north

That's why I asked for clarification from Bing

There are no problems north - I will have to have a look at the map.............behind the cinema

It's an infrastructure failure of an unspecified nature. No third party involvement, except may be one train too many over the bridge.

Ah yes my mistake, the main line south crosses Muscle Creek as I said above,
BUT the Ulan line also crosses Muscle Creek again between the over Road bridge (A15) and the Hunter River Bridge Embarassed

How does a main line bridge 'fail' and in what manner did it fail?

That was my immediate thought. I've been a 'bridgey' and trained in bridge examination. If bridges are being maintained they don't just fail...

A very odd response the bridge failed does it mean it fell down or is likely to fall down or in danger of falling down?

Is/will the ATSB investigate?

Is that a bridge or a concrete viaduct / spillway structure? Is it one of the bridges in muswellbrook or one of the new bridges where muscle creek crosses the rail line to the east?

Bridges have a finite life like everything else. The bridge over the McQuarrie River at Bathurst which I believe has been replaced,  used to vibrate as a train passed over it.
Other reports in this forum have suggested the Hawkesbury River Bridge needs attention due to possible foundation problems.
A stone arch bridge over the Cox's River at Wallerawang got seriously waterlogged due to heavy rains not draining away fast enough that it was feared the weight of the water logged soil could cause it to collapse.

It is the bridge over Muscle Creek which is between the Hunter River Bridge and the A15 highway bridge (close to where Muscle Creek flows into the Hunter River)
