Apparently 5PM5 stalled around Long Gully yesterday, which had resulted in 5PM9 being held at Mile End after two nr's were sent to push the former to Mt Lofty.

Interesting movement today into Mile End loop
CM33**(Bowmans Rail) GL*** with a string of mineral sand containers (Cristal) arrived southbound into the mainline of Mile End loop at 12:10pm
The loco's detached and proceeded back along the loop line to North end where they waited for the Ghan 1AD8 to depart.
It appeared they were going to reattach to the north end of the consist.

This would have effectively 'turned' the consist

The northern leg of the Dry Creek triangle is out of action following last week's derailment of the Cristal Mining train, therefore the run around at Mile End is to gain access to Port Adelaide via the southern leg of the triangle. Several other trains have carried out this move over the weekend.
