An interesting choice of words by the CEO referring to the people who entered the live construction sight (presumably the graffiti vandals) as "members of the community".  Not exactly an appropriate  description of them by my reckoning.

There's probably a minuscule Canberra graffiti scene that tags stuff around the town and they knew full well it was coming - being the closest thing that Canberra will ever have to a train they would have been wetting themselves with delight trying to be the first ones to tag the thing.

Modern rolling stock of all kinds can deal with it; it's not the end of the world. That the ACT govt didn't anticipate that a brand new tram going on public display could have been vandalised overnight in that way is a bit remiss... but it's not a big problem, I'm sure it went on display as anticipated.
