It has been good news the railway carries on. He had some great friends which is very important.

Barry passed away in 2017 but the railway is still running with his wife and a team of volunteers in charge of operations.  They have an active Facebook page announcing their running dates and have done som charity days in recent times.  Barry was also a member of the Echuca and District Historic Vehicle Club and some of his vehicles have been taken over by his son.

Barry was a friend of mine. After he passed away (in June) the family ran a fundraiser for the Palliative Care Unit in Bendigo as a sign of their appreciation for the way Barry was looked after. I then bought the railway and have been running it with a team of volunteers from September 2017. I plan on keeping it running for many years.

A very sad event has passed, and I'm sure that Barry would have been delighted to see that you have stepped in to provide such a good outcome. Well done, and good luck.
