There is no substitute for an EMD flat out.
The 49s (and 48s for that matter) always seemed to me to be a more versatile loco than the Victorian T class. Perhaps they just had/have more opportunities. Smile

The 1200s headed south today, leading BRM001, 4911 & BRM002 on empty grain train no.4347 from Broadmeadow to Wumbulgal. Here are a few scenes recorded at Cowan in quite harsh light around 13.00.

The NREs have been dropped 4347 has just passed thru town at 6.20pm with the BRMs and 4911....
