Normally in the weekday off peak 2 X 3 car units travel down to Manly LE between roughly 0800 and 0930, and are stowed there to return again LE at about 1345 and 1545.  They are usually joined by a 6 car 160 unit ( sometimes a 100 ), which travels back to town  LE at about 1445.
Last 2 days since the introduction of the 700's on the GC-APT run, this spare 160 unit has been missing, so maybe QR not game to stow a 700 at Manly yet.

Doesn't that IMU unit form a doomben service which then returns to cleveland?

I would presume the IMU unit has been displaced to the springfield line for better OTR stats, or to ipswich-caboolture/nambour to provide easier access for a HS unit thats toilet equipped.

Tasser 96 - There are sometimes 160 units running to Cleveland, also 100/120 units but only ad hoc, nothing regular..  The only regular 160 was according to my post above.   As explained in the original  post the 3 units all travelled to Manly empty in the late morning peak or early morning off peak to be stored there.  A 3 car unit would return empty towards the City about 1345 through Wynnum North, then the empty 160 used to pass WN empty about 1445, but no longer with the introduction of the 700's.  Finally the other empty 3 car unit would pass WN about 1545.
